Zoé returned to San Antonio’s Aztec Theater on the 26th of February, and captured our souls with their dreamy galactic rock n' roll setlist. From Últimos Dias to Azul to ending it off with their classic upbeat track Love. It was a short setlist, but very satisfying. Throughout the set, Leon spoke mostly in English, giving respect to the non spanish speaking crowd who were there for Canadian band Metric. So much love was received and given from band to crowd, not a single eye was bored from watching them conquer the Aztec stage.
After the show, I went up to the green room to interview one of the band mates, Pipe Ceballos, we talked about his career and his ways of producing music. That interview is yet to come. After the interview, I conversed a bit with some of the other members. Yeah, Leon was there, greeted him and that’s it. There’s this respect I have for him that tells me to not invade his space, you know?
Zoé has been around for 20 years, they had their ups and downs, their changes, but all in all they’re still there being who they were meant be in this life: an unforgettable classic rock band.
